Evolusi Bahasa Digital dari Meme Hingga Metaverse
Main Article Content
Abstract
The transformation of digital technology has resulted in profound changes in the way humans interact. The development of digital language can be seen from the use of memes as a means of concise and expressive visual communication, to the emergence of the metaverse that offers more complex virtual interaction spaces. Memes, which originally consisted of simple images and text, have now evolved into a communication tool that reflects digital culture as well as existing social trends. On the other hand, the metaverse provides a new dimension in digital communication through avatar representation, artificial intelligence-based interactions, and increasingly immersive virtual environments. This research examines the evolution of digital language from simple phenomena such as memes to more complex ecosystems in the metaverse. With a qualitative approach and analysis of digital discourse, this study highlights changes in communication patterns, linguistic adaptations, and the social impact of the development of digital language. The findings of the study show that digital language not only serves as a means of communication, but also as a reflection of changing cultures and technologies. This evolution shows the shift of human communication from traditional forms to more interactive and dynamic digital forms.
