Menciptakan Kerukunan Antar Umat Beragama di SMAN 1 Bumi Agung: Peran Kurikulum Merdeka dan Budaya Sekolah Inklusif

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the strategies for creating and maintaining inter-religious harmony (KUB) among students in the multi-religious environment of SMAN 1 Bumi Agung under the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum. The school serves as a model microcosm of Indonesian society, systematically internalizing the values of tolerance and pluralism as an integral part of student character. The research method is qualitative with a case study approach. Primary data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the Principal, religious teachers from various faiths, and student representatives from the harmony forum, as well as document analysis of the School Operational Curriculum (KOSP) and reports from the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile (P5). The study results indicate that KUB is achieved through three strategic pillars: 1) Integrating pluralism values into the cross-subject learning process (intracurricular); 2) Implementing P5 projects with the Global Diversity theme that mandate inter-faith collaboration in tangible activities; and 3) Establishing an Inclusive School Culture manifested in non-discriminatory policies, rules, and student leadership initiatives (OSIS). A key finding reveals that the P5 Project themed "Local Tolerance Footprint" is the most effective instrument, transforming students' theoretical understanding into cognitive and affective empathy for their peers' religious practices. Nevertheless, challenges include resisting intolerant narratives from the external environment and the need to enhance the competence of all teachers in facilitating sensitive dialogue. It is concluded that the Merdeka Curriculum and a leadership-driven school culture are vital combinations that ensure KUB at SMAN 1 Bumi Agung is sustainable and deeply rooted in the students.
