Transendensi Tuhan dalam “Gikiri Moi”: Telaah Metafisis dalam Perspektif Paul Tillich
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study of the transcendence of God is an issue that is still being discussed in divine philosophy because it is related to the metaphysical understanding of the nature of divine reality and its relationship with existence. Meanwhile, this paper aims to analyze the concept of Gikiri Moi in the Tobelo belief tradition as a reflective footing to understand the transcendence of God through the metaphysical perspective of Paul Tillich. By using a qualitative-reflective approach that rests on the emphasis of metaphysical-ontological analysis, without placing Gikiri Moi as a claim to the truth of exoteric faith, the results of the study want to show that the understanding of God as ens supremum in classical metaphysics has the potential to reduce the transcendence of God by placing him as the highest entity among other entities. Tillich, in his analysis of his writings, writes that God is understood as being-itself or ground of being, as the basis of existence that transcends all ontological categories. As for Gikiri Moi itself, it can be understood as a conceptual symbolic expression of the human experience of the highest reality that sustains the meaning and order of life. Thus, this study confirms that the concept of local divinity can serve as a means of metaphysical reflection, which is valid and can be used as a springboard for the development of analytical thinking contextual Divinity Nusantara-based philosophy.
