Abstract

This study aims to see how the use of mountainous Konjo language in tightening the identity, values, and traditional education of the community. Phenomenology was used to collect subjective data from community informants, namely elders in Maddakko. The results of this study show that the use of konjo language in the community of Maddakko hamlet creates a valuable experience, has a philosophy, and tightens each other's identity, massive konjo language is a history in responding to community activities since long before Maddakko hamlet was known, konjo language is used as a medium of communication and an instrument of traditional education that provides a deep understanding with the younger generation.
