Abstract
This research is motivated by the urgent need to develop a more holistic and extensive psychotherapy approach that includes the individual's personal aspects, considering the increasing prevalence of mental health disorders globally. Although the integration of spiritual values in therapy has been widely discussed, the application of specific psychotherapy principles from the verses of the Qur'an is still rarely the focus of research. The purpose of this study is to explore and identify the principles of psychotherapy contained in the Qur'an through a maudhu'i (thematic) interpretation approach. The results of the study indicate that there are several psychotherapy principles in the Qur'an that have been identified, including the principles of counseling, trauma healing, forgiveness, stress management, cognitive transformation, and resilience. us effective therapeutic qualities such as empathetic communication, patience, tawakal, steadfastness and emotional management, which can be used as the basis for psychotherapy interventions. By exploring the principles of the Qur'an specifically and thematically, this study certainly provides a more practical foundation for integrating Islamic teachings into psychotherapy, while also answering the challenges in developing therapies that are in accordance with the spiritual and psychological needs of patients.
