Pendidikan Agama Hindu Sebagai Fondasi Kepribadian Berlandaskan Dharma di SMA Negeri 1 Negerikaton

Abstract
Hindu Religious Education plays an important role in shaping students' character based on dharma. This study aims to analyze how the implementation of Hindu Religious Education in SMA Negeri 1 Negerikaton is able to become a foundation in building students' personalities. Hindu Religious Education not only teaches aspects of ritual and belief, but also instills moral values that can guide students in their daily lives. In the era of globalization that is full of moral and social challenges, dharma-based education is an important instrument in shaping individuals with integrity, discipline, and high social awareness. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. This study involved various parties, including teachers, students, and other educators, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the implementation of Hindu Religious Education in schools. The results of the study indicate that learning Hindu Religious Education in this school makes a positive contribution in instilling dharma values, such as satya (honesty), ahimsa (non-violence), and karuna (compassion). Students who receive dharma-based education tend to show disciplined, responsible attitudes, and are able to maintain harmony in their social environment.Furthermore, this study found that the effectiveness of Hindu Religious Education in shaping students' personalities is greatly influenced by the teaching methods used by teachers. Interactive and contextual methods are more effective in helping students understand and apply religious values in everyday life. In addition, support from the school and family environment also plays a major role in strengthening the internalization of dharma values in students. The conclusion of this study is that Hindu Religious Education plays a significant role in shaping students' personalities with character and noble character. To increase its effectiveness, innovation is needed in learning methods and collaboration between schools, families, and communities. With the right approach, Hindu Religious Education can be a strong foundation in shaping a young generation that adheres to dharma values and is ready to face the challenges of the times.
