Desain Pendidikan Berwawasan Lingkungan Bagi Anak Melalui Filosofi Memayu Hayuning Bawana

Abstract
Memayu hayuning bawana as a Javanese philosophy leads to an established thought about the essential role of humans in maintaining harmony and sustainability of nature. Children as agents of change and successors of the Indonesian generation must be equipped with knowledge and experiences that bring them closer to nature because nature is an interactive space for children to develop all their potential. Environmental education comes as an alternative in the process of environmental education holistically and meaningfully for children. This research is qualitative research with a literature study approach. The results obtained in this study are (1) the philosophy of memayu hayuning bawana is very relevant in building the spirit of children to be able to preserve nature and the environment; (2) the design of this environmentally sound education includes three things, namely the integration of the environmental education curriculum with local content subjects, some activities hone children's affective abilities through activities and games, the integration of cultural activities in environmental education; (3) the authenticity of the design of environmental education based on the value of the Javanese philosophy of memayu hayuning bawana typical of Indonesia.
