Abstract

Dressing is a form of human etiquette. So that actually dressing is not just about protecting the body but is also related to ethics, customs and status. Apart from the clothing used in daily life, the clothing worn when worshiping is also an important thing that must be considered, each religion has its own rules for regulating its people's clothing during worship, all of which are for good purposes. Worship is a sacred and religious activity, of course you need to pay attention to ethics in carrying out worship, especially in terms of clothing. Young people, especially many of them, don't pay attention to this and are more concerned with style. This research examines cultural and religious values ​​related to ethics in clothing and their influence on Javanese Hindu identity. By using observation methods, interviews and literature studies to find out what the clothing styles of Hindu teenagers are like today, and what cultural diversity is like in Indonesia, where each region has a strong identity, but it is not uncommon for young people to be unfamiliar with their own culture and prefer follow other cultures because they follow the current developments of the times. The results of this research show that dressing ethics in accordance with Javanese Hindu values ​​can strengthen identity and awareness of one's own culture, and increase awareness and pride in cultural heritage.
