Revitalisasi Komunikasi Keluarga Hindu Sebagai Upaya Preventif Kenakalan Remaja di Desa Jiwan Kecamatan Karangnongko Kabupaten Klaten

Abstract
This article is motivated by the increasingly concerning phenomenon of juvenile delinquency, influenced by various factors, one of which is weak communication within the family. This study aims to determine the communication strategies of Hindu families as a preventive measure for juvenile delinquency in Jiwan Village, Karangnongko District, Klaten Regency. In addition, this study also aims to understand the forms of parental interpersonal communication, strategies for instilling Hindu values in the family, and the role of parents in shaping adolescent behavior. The study used a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving parents and adolescents in Hindu families as research informants. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that Hindu family communication in Jiwan Village is carried out through a simple but consistent approach, such as daily conversations, open attitudes, empathy, providing advice, and parental role models in everyday life. Dialogic and supportive interpersonal communication strategies can create closer emotional relationships between parents and children so that adolescents feel comfortable opening up to their families. Furthermore, the instillation of Hindu values such as Tri Kaya Parisudha, Tri Hita Karana, and Panca Yama Brata is carried out through habituation and behavioral examples set by parents. These values help adolescents control their behavior, maintain good manners, and avoid negative social influences. This research shows that revitalizing Hindu family communication plays a crucial role in strengthening morals, self-control, and preventing juvenile delinquency.
