Peer Review Process
Upadesha: Journal of Education Research and Learning Innovation follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, credibility, and integrity of published research. This means that both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the review process.
Review Process Steps

Manuscript Submission
- Authors submit their manuscripts via the journal's online submission system.
- The editorial team conducts an initial screening to check for completeness, relevance to the journal's scope, and adherence to formatting guidelines.

Plagiarism Check
- All submitted manuscripts undergo a plagiarism check using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality.
- Manuscripts exceeding the plagiarism threshold will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected.

Editorial Review
- The Editor-in-Chief or assigned Section Editors conduct a preliminary assessment of the manuscript’s quality and fit within the journal's scope.
- Manuscripts that meet initial criteria are sent for peer review. Manuscripts that do not meet the standards may be rejected at this stage.

Double-Blind Peer Review
- The manuscript is sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
- Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, methodology, significance, clarity, and contribution to the field.
- Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendations:
- Accept without revisions
- Accept with minor revisions
- Accept with major revisions
- Reject

Author Revision
- If revisions are required, authors are given a specified time to respond to reviewer comments and revise their manuscript accordingly.
- Authors must submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response to reviewers’ comments.

Final Review and Decision
- The revised manuscript is reviewed by the editorial team to ensure all required changes are addressed.
- In some cases, it may be sent back to the original reviewers for further assessment.
- The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewer feedback and editorial assessment.

Proofreading and Publication
- Accepted manuscripts undergo final proofreading and formatting.
- The final version is published online in the next available issue.
Review Timeline
The typical review process takes 6 to 8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the manuscript and the availability of reviewers. Authors are encouraged to respond promptly to reviewer comments to expedite the publication process.
Reviewer Responsibilities
- Conduct a fair and objective evaluation of the manuscript.
- Provide constructive feedback to help authors improve their work.
- Maintain confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest.
Ethical Considerations
Upadesha adheres to the ethical guidelines of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) to ensure transparency and fairness in the peer review process. Any suspected ethical violations, including plagiarism or conflicts of interest, will be investigated accordingly.
